Now in its third year, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Mayor of London Low Carbon Entrepreneur 2014!
Last year’s winners William Hines and Rachel Clemo from UCL are well on their way to trialling their idea for removing the need for paper receipts by allowing users to access their receipts online. Retailers using the system agree to give a percentage of the money they save to tree planting schemes. You can find out more on their website http://www.reseed.co.uk/
We’re thrilled to once again have the support and sponsorship of Siemens http://www.siemens.co.uk/ who are providing prizes of a £20,000 idea development fund and 6 paid internships at their sustainable cities initiative in London, The Crystal http://www.thecrystal.org/.
Deadline for applications is the 28th March 2014.
It is free to enter and there is no limit to the number of ideas any individual or group can submit.
A shortlist will be selected by experts before the winner is picked by our high profile judging panel in a Dragon’s Den style event in May 2014.
Throughout the year we’ll be offering training opportunities to potential applicants and any student who signs up to be an ambassador can also compete for two weeks work experience at London City Hall.
