Training contract application deadlines are approaching. Approximately 20 firms will stop accepting applications after 30 June, but a huge proportion have set their deadline on 31 July - in fact, a massive 146 firms have chosen to close applications on this date in 2015. The LawCareers.Net Training contract deadlines page is the only place where you can find a definitive list of all the firms recruiting trainees, so make sure you use it to plan and schedule your applications. You can also narrow down the list to show only those firms recruiting for 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Remember that your chances of success will be greatly improved if you focus on making a relatively smaller number of really high quality, individually tailored applications; so work out what is feasible in the time available to you. This means properly researching firms (over 900 of them) using the Training contract directory and making sure that you maximise your appeal by using MySelf on MyLC.N, which enables you to identify and address any weaker areas in your candidacy ahead of applying. Submitting half-baked, identikit applications to 50 firms is not the way to achieve success, so concentrate on making whatever you submit a masterpiece! You should also consult our comprehensive Application master class to help you along.
Good luck in your applications.
Best regards
