On Monday 18^th May 2015, the London Legal Support Trust will be holding the 11^th London Legal Walk to raise money for free legal advice charities. In 2014 we have over 8,000 walkers take part and are hoping for similar numbers this year so we need some enthusiastic volunteers to help. Could you be one of them?

If you haven’t been part of it before, the London Legal Walk is an annual fundraising event which unites the legal profession to promote access to justice. In 2014 over 8,000 people took part from various law firms, chambers, courts, in-house teams and law schools. Together they raised over £560,000 for free legal advice provision in London.

What we need you to help with:

If you become one of our volunteer marshals, you will have the chance to attend a reception in central London (venue tbc) where you will be provided with your tasks for the day, all the information you need and have a chance to meet your fellow volunteers.

After a lunch break, the Lord Chief Justice will give a short speech to highlight how important your contribution to us is. You will then set off to your section of the route. Your role will be to make the whole event come alive – cheering and clapping the thousands of walkers coming past, you will be an essential point of contact for them, offering directions, information and, most importantly, motivation!

We will again be celebrating the end of the walk with a huge street party behind the RCJ at the finish line. The best part? Marshalls are invited to celebrate with us! So as well as having the opportunity to support access to justice and to network with legal professionals, you will also have a fantastic time!

When we need you:

Monday 18^th May – one of 4 time slots:

- All day: 11am – 10pm (ideally!)

- 11am – 8pm

- 1.30pm – 8pm

- 4pm – 10pm

Please do choose the time you can commit to – to be able to plan such an enormous event we really rely on our volunteer marshals. Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome so please do pass this message to anyone you think would like to get involved. We really hope you can join us.
